General Terms of Use

1. General Provisions

1.1. Definitions

In the context of these General Terms of Use (GTU), the following terms have the meaning below:

  • Service: All services offered by Carvenit company via the platform enabling connection between Vehicle Owners and Renters.
  • Platform or Site: The website www.carvenit.com, allowing access to Services.
  • Owner: Any person or entity offering one or more vehicles for rental via the Platform.
  • Renter: Any person accessing the Platform for the purpose of renting a vehicle.
  • User: Any person using the Platform, whether Owner or Renter.
  • Company: Carvenit company, publisher and operator of the Platform.
  • Vehicle: Any vehicle offered for rental by an Owner registered on the Platform.
  • Rental Contract: Agreement concluded between an Owner and a Renter via the Platform for vehicle rental.

1.2. Acceptance of Terms of Use

Use of the Platform implies full acceptance of these General Terms of Use by any User. By checking the box "I accept the GTU", the User acknowledges having read, understood and accepted these GTU.

If you refuse these conditions, you must refrain from using the Platform.

1.3. Scope of Application

These GTU apply to any access and use of the Platform, regardless of the technical means used. They are governed by Moroccan law.

If a clause is deemed invalid or inapplicable, the other provisions will remain fully in force.

1.4. Modification of GTU

Carvenit reserves the right to modify the GTU at any time. Users will be informed of modifications by a notification on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after modification constitutes acceptance of the new GTU.

2. Service Description

2.1. Objective

The Carvenit Platform connects Owners wishing to rent their vehicles with Renters looking for short or long-term rental. It facilitates ad publication and bookings.

2.2. Operation

The Service allows Users to:

  • Create a secure personal account.
  • Publish vehicle ads (Owners).
  • Search and book a vehicle (Renters).
  • Manage rental bookings.

2.3. Financial Terms

  • Registration on the Platform is free.
  • A commission is charged by the Company on each confirmed rental.
  • Rental rates are freely set by Owners.
  • Payment is made via an integrated secure system.

2.4. Responsibilities

Carvenit acts as a technical intermediary and never becomes party to the rental contract. The Company is not responsible for disputes between Owners and Renters regarding vehicle condition, delays, payments or any other incident.

3. User Obligations

3.1. Registration Conditions

To register and use the Service, the User must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Create a personal or professional account.
  • Comply with applicable laws.

Owners must additionally:

  • Be legally authorized to rent their vehicle.
  • Offer vehicles in good condition, insured and with up-to-date documents.
  • Respect commitments made with Renters.

3.2. Renter Commitments

The Renter undertakes to:

  • Use the vehicle in accordance with the contract.
  • Respect schedules and return conditions.
  • Not sublease or transfer the vehicle.
  • Pay the rental price within agreed deadlines.

4. Personal Data

Personal data collected is processed in compliance with law n°09-08 relating to personal data protection in Morocco. The processing is declared to the CNDP (application in progress). The User has a right of access, modification and deletion of data concerning them.

5. Intellectual Property

All elements composing the Platform (texts, logo, graphics, codes, etc.) are the exclusive property of Carvenit. Any reproduction, total or partial, without authorization is prohibited.

6. Liability and Force Majeure

Carvenit cannot be held responsible in case of temporary impossibility of access to the Platform or in case of error, omission, or malfunction not falling under its direct responsibility.

Carvenit's liability cannot be engaged in case of force majeure as defined by law.

7. Termination

Carvenit reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account in case of non-compliance with these GTU, without notice or compensation.

8. Applicable Law – Disputes

These GTU are governed by Moroccan law. In case of dispute, an attempt at amicable settlement will be favored. Failing that, the competent courts of Casablanca will have sole jurisdiction.
